The service

How will the eWitness™ service be carried out

The certification service of documents is carried out by a notary public, subject to the execution by the client and the notary of a professional services contract for the certification of digital data.

The notary public will invoice the service to the client in one of two ways: with a bi-yearly tariff for having assumed responsibility for the documents and the generation of the relative delivery receipts, or with a certification tariff for single copies applied only to documents in which the client requests an additional express notarial certification in the digital or paper form.

The client, additionally, signs a technological services contract with eWitness sarl concerning the sole management and maintenance of the secure encrypted connection between the client itself and the notary public. With this applicable architecture, the notary public is capable of certifying digital documents in a secure manner and with the highest levels of system reliability.

With the eWitness technology, the notary public also has at his disposal all of the technical instruments and all of the information necessary to certify the existence of data or data processing documents. This is possible because the functional content of the technologies was designed by notaries who are experts in security and document management and it is moreover, perfectly consistent with the nature of the obligations and responsibilities of the notary public.

The eWitness sarl software remains external to the client’s data processing system and does not necessarily require on-site installation. With this technology there are no integration problems with previously existing systems.
